2 days National Science Fair starts in Rabi

The two-days National Science Fair has started at Rajshahi University (Rabi). The fair is organized for the sixth time on the initiative of the University Science Club and in collaboration with the National Science and Technology Museum.

Rabi Vice Chancellor Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar opened the scholarship by inflating balloons at the Student-Teacher Cultural Center (TSCC) of Shaheed Sukhranjan Samada University on Saturday (September 24) afternoon.

Vice Chancellor of Barisal University as an honored guest at the opening ceremony. md. Sadekul Arefin and Rabindra University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. md. Shah Azam, Rabi Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. as a special guest. Sultan-ul-Islam and Rabi Science Club Founding Adviser Prof. dr. Tariqul Hasan was present.

After the inauguration, the guests attended the science show. Science club president Abid Hasan presided over the party and club founder Zahurul Islam Moon gave a welcome speech.

In the honored guest’s speech, Barisal University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. md. Sadekul Arefin said, the more science progresses, the more the country will progress. There is no substitute for science. Science practices should be developed throughout Bangladesh. Through which we can lead the country towards progress.

Rabi Vice Chancellor Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar said Rajshahi University Science Club has been working to develop and popularize science since its inception. May they keep that consistency. There is no alternative to science in the present day. Science club plays an important role in making science oriented students towards science.

The two-day festival features 11 different science competitions and other events. The first day of the party will include the Inaugural Session, Science Olympiad, Programming Competition, Project Show Competition, Poster Presentation, and Wall Magazine.

On the second day of the fair, the project show competition, poster presentation, wall magazine, scientific speech competition, Rubik’s Cube, painting competition and three-minute thesis presentation are organized. About 1500 students from various schools, colleges and universities of Rajshahi and outside of Rajshahi will participate in various events of this science fair.

The closing ceremony will be concluded on Sunday (September 25) at 3 pm in the Student-Teacher Cultural Center (TSCC) of Shaheed Sukhranjan Samada.

Note that the Science Club started its journey in 2015. The National Science Festival was organized from 2016, the year after its creation. This event became very popular in the first year itself. Since then, it organizes various subject-based Olympiads, science camps, various science-based days, quizzes, seminars, conferences, science school shows, tree plantations, social awareness programs to promote science. Since its inception, Rabi Science Club has been working to promote and expand science across the country, including Rajshahi. Thousands of science-loving students participate in this popular science fair every year. Following on from this, the club has organized the RUSC National Science Fiesta 2022 for the sixth time.
