APA Ratings Leading Khukribi, Lagging Bakribi – University

Khulna Agricultural University ranks first for most progress in the University Grants Commission (UGC) Annual Performance Agreement Review (APA). Khukribi is now in 6th position, 37 steps higher than the previous 43rd position. On the other hand, Bangladesh Agricultural University is the most backward. According to the UGC report, Chittagong Medical University is in the second position after Khulna Agricultural University with 28 steps, Bangladesh University of Professionals is in the third position with 26 steps, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University is in the fourth position with 21 steps and 20 steps forward Jagannath University is in 5th position.

Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof. Akhtaruzzaman said such evaluation of UGC’s annual performance agreement is very important in higher education. Universities have already given goals in different categories. Universities score well in APA if they can achieve their own objectives within the set time frame. But no university in the country is bad, every place is better.
