Pakistan and Bangladesh make changes to their T20 World Cup squad

T20 World Cup 2022 is just a few days away. Before that, several changes have taken place in the teams of Pakistan and Bangladesh. The teams that played in the first round had until October 9 to make changes to their T20 World Cup rosters. However, the teams playing in Super 12 can switch teams until the 15th. That opportunity was seized by Pakistan and Bangladesh. Star batsman Fakhar Zaman got a chance in Pakistan’s main World Cup squad. Bangladesh made not one but two changes to the main team. Soumya Sarkar (Soumya Sarkar) and Shariful Islam (Shoriful Islam) got a chance in the Bangladesh team.

Fakhr instead of Qadir

Last month in Asia Cup, Fakhar injured his knee in the final. As a result, he was kept in reserve instead of the main squad for the World Cup. However, the Pakistani selectors decided at the last minute before the World Cup to strengthen the team’s strength. Fakhar was included in the 15-man squad instead of leg spinner Usman Qadir. Qadir injured his finger in the fourth game of the T20 series against England. He has not fully recovered from that injury. That’s probably why he had to drop out.

Two changes in Bangladesh team

Soumya Sarkar and Shariful Islam were given a chance in Bangladesh’s 15-man World Cup squad instead of Sabbir Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin. Shariful took the most wickets for Bangladesh in the series against Amirshahi. Soumya will once again be offering batting and bowling opportunities in top order. Shariful and Soumya were in the reserves of the Bangladesh squad, from where they got a place in the main team. Amirshahi or New Zealand tri-series, Sabbir couldn’t do well anywhere. Perhaps that’s why they were left out of the main force. However, both will be with the team as reserve at the World Cup.

Shami replaces Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to an injury. Since then, there has been speculation as to who will replace him in the World Cup squad. On Friday, the Indian Cricket Board announced that the Bangladeshi pacesetter Mohammed Shami (Mohammed Shami) has been added to the team as a replacement for Bumrah. As a stand-by, the Bengali pacesetter already had a chance in the World Cup selection. He has already flown to Australia. According to the Indian board, Shami will join the Indian camp in Brisbane for the T20 World Cup warm-up match. It has also been learned that Mohammad Siraj and Shardul Thakur will also join the Indian camp as deputies. So that if one of the main teams gets injured, they can be included in the team.
