Star Cineplex has completed a year and a half

Star Cineplex, a multiplex cinema hall, started its journey on October 8, 2004, at the Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in the capital. The theater attracts cinema lovers of the country through various novelties, including an aesthetic environment, and a sound system with the latest technology.

The country’s popular multiplex cinema will complete 18 years of its journey on Saturday (October 8). On this occasion, a grand event was organized this evening at the SKS Tower facility of Star Cineplex.

There will also be a cake cutting and a photo session on the red carpet. Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, senior manager of Star Cineplex’s Media and Marketing Department, said senior government officials, corporate personalities, journalists, movie stars and various fields will attend the event as invited guests.

There will also be the premiere of the recent Hollywood movie ‘The Woman King’. There is another special ceremony on this day. Prizes will be awarded to the winners in a special competition to mark the achievement of five lakh likes on Star Cineplex’s Facebook page.

Last September, it was announced on Star Cineplex’s Facebook page that you can share your fond memories, funny stories, or nostalgic photos with Star Cineplex to win a year-long invitation to the film’s premiere and many other interesting prizes. Marjuka Ahmed Chowdhury won the first prize in this competition. He receives an invitation to the premiere of the film at Star Cineplex for a year. Five runners-up will receive movie vouchers and five runners-up will receive Star Cineplex T-shirts.

Currently, Bashundhara City mall has a total of five halls, including a VIP hall. Apart from this, it has branches in Border Square in Dhanmondi and SKS Tower in Mohakhali, Sony Square in Mirpur and Military Museum.

Star Cineplex is opening not only in Dhaka but also beyond. New branches are being built in Chittagong and Bogra. Star Cineplex Chairman Mahbub Rahman said there are plans to build more cineplexes across the country, including Dhaka’s Uttara, Comilla.

He greeted the audience on the occasion of the 18th anniversary and said: “We always try to meet the expectations of the public.
