The fourth industrial revolution

The theme of the International Conference of the Awami League Science and Technology Sub-Committee on the Fourth Industrial Revolution is “Journey to Build Smart Bangladesh and Implement the Delta Plan”.

Abdus Sabur said the Awami League Science and Technology Sub-Committee will hold an international conference on the Fourth Industrial Revolution as the premier political organization in the subcontinent. The two-day conference will be held on November 4-5 at the Auditorium of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), Ramna in the capital. The theme of the conference is “Journey to Building Smart Bangladesh and Implementing the Delta Plan”.

He said the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) brought significant changes in people’s daily lives. Rapidly advancing Bangladesh has become a model in achieving sustainable economic and social growth through digitalization by successfully using 4IR. At this conference, professional scientists, engineers, scholars, researchers and students can exchange their views and ideas on the implementation of innovative government programs and potential technological innovations in the use of 4IR technology. It will also guide the implementation of Smart Bangladesh 2041 and the Centenary Delta Plan.

He also said that during this international conference, we invited research papers to be submitted on various topics related to the cutting-edge technology of the fourth Xi revolution. 662 communications and posters have already been submitted in 20 categories. Not only researchers from Bangladesh, researchers from Europe, America, Canada, India, Japan, China, Australia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Brazil, South Korea and Singapore have also submitted hundreds of articles. Among them are various technological institutes in Silicon Valley, Imperial College in London, Monash University in Australia, McMaster University and the University of Calgary in Canada, the University of Texas Arlington in America, the University of Boston, the University of Helsinki in Finland, Kyushu University in Japan, Seoul National University of South Korea, Chinese Academy of Sciences, etc., researchers from famous institutes. Also, researchers working at BUET, QUET, CHUET, RUET, DUET, IUT, and various research institutes in the country such as IWM, CEGIS, River Research Institute, Power Development Board (BUBO), Water Development Board (PUBO), etc. submitted papers to the conference.

Abdus Sabur said the Bangladesh Awami League as a party is ready to meet all challenges in a changing world. We already deliver almost all of our political, social, and humanitarian activities to people’s doorsteps through digital means. Moreover, by creating skills in information technology, talented young people have the opportunity to create jobs. In short, the country is well prepared for the fourth industrial revolution. We are the first in the country to start working on the fourth industrial revolution. It should be noted that the recommendations that will emerge from this international conference will be forwarded to the office and the research unit of the party as well as to the various government ministries. Obaidul Quader, Secretary General of the Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges, will inaugurate this international conference on November 4 at 10 a.m. On the first day at 11.15 a.m. in the auditorium of the IEB, the first keynote speech of the conference will be given by the Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak MP, the second speech by Opening will be presented by Professor Dr. Jayshree Roy. A total of 9 different technical sessions will take place at the IEB from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
On the second day of the conference, Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET), Prof. Dr. Satya Prasad Majumdar. Separate technical sessions will take place at 9 IEB sites from 11:20 a.m. to 1:20 p.m.

At 2:20 p.m. that day, the fourth and final main paper will be presented by the IEEE’s first Bengali President. Saifur Rahman. Separate technical sessions will take place at a total of 9 venues from 3-5pm. National leaders of Bangladesh Awami League will be present as guests at each event.
The final of this international conference will take place on November 5 at 7 p.m. at the IEB Auditorium. Begum Matia Chowdhury, a member of the Bang Awami League presidium, will be present as the main guest, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Mustafa Jabbar will be the special guest.
